The Corn-Islands - your private paradise

If you are interested in diving, snorkeling, surfing, or a quiet relaxing vacation, then this is the place for you.

Because of their location, the Corn Islands remain relatively untouched by tourism, but I don’t expect that to last for long!

The two islands are located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 50 miles east of the port city of Bluefields. The largest of the Corn Islands is approximately four square miles in size, and Little Corn Island, located about nine miles northeast of the largest island, and is a little over one square mile in size.

There are untouched areas of white sand beach and crystal water which are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports.

About a mile southeast of Corn Island divers can explore the wreck of Spanish galleon which lies in 72 feet of clear water.

Since this area was a favorite haunt of pirates who roamed the Caribbean, it is thought that many other ancient wrecks - some most certainly still containing their rich cargo - lie in the waters off the Corn Islands.

You can fly from Managua to the Corn Islands using local airlines such as La Costeña( TACA Regional Airlines) or Atlantic Airlines.
